It is wonderful to discover the work of Iranian illustrator and printmaker Ali Boozan ,
This is not Little Red Riding Hood though it could easily be, it is from a project called 'The goat and the wolf'.
The layered printed illustrations in contrasting colours resemble batik, but they have so many triggers of cultural association, for they also remind me of Indonesian shadow puppet performances with the inclusion of the musicians along the bottom.
