Henrik Drescher


This piece is by Henrik Drescher and was made in the 1980's as a postcard to send to prospective publishers when he moved to America from Holland. Henrik's work is a dark collage of comic, illustration and fine art. He has published over fifty children books and made several animations.

I know that I am stepping further away from the theme here, but the emotion is the same as Little Red Riding Hood and the palette, so in my loose rules I am allowing it because I love the way the beast is encircling the girl. This illustration is by Mexican illustrator Luis San Vicente.
